So let me get this right! I can put this shoe on without touching the laces....COOL. This Adidas come in 4 solid colorways red, navy, grey, and black. Simple and classic letting the lines of the small detail do the talking. With a zipper directly down the center of the back allowing easy entry and exit...NICE
Ran across this picture the other day scrolling through the book, it made me think ... man there is no point in life where you are alone. So keep your head up Haiti and Chile just know
Today I would like to introduce you guys to XV (Donavan Johnson)
He has talent....kid from Wichita, Kansas who's farther was a record label A&R and an employee at BET his love for music was instilled early in his childhood. The name XV comes from the roman numeral 15 the age in which he began to pursue the industry seriously. His career had a early spark opening for such acts as The Ying Yang Twins, Mike Jones, Lil Jon and defeated four local Hip-Hop acts with over 600 votes to open up for G-Unit. So it's very apparent that the guy has been grinding for a sec. After being looked over last year for XXL Freshman class, a lot of people thought for sure after last years mixtape "Everybody's Nobody" he was a shoe in for this year.
Even XV felt some kind of way dropping Bad News last year and Bad News II this year after the list was final.
"Big Sean asked, J Cole knew, Nispey Hussle wondered, Wiz did too"
Not to mention that some of the names who made it this year caused more than just a stir in the hip-hop/blog community. I made a comment earlier last week stating I was looking for his name to appear but that won't happen again we see. XV is known for his wordplay, honesty, humor and positivity in his rhymes. If your not familiar please take some time out and research the kids music above or below links. Above u have last years drop and below the latest project the prelude to Vizzy Zone. Until then just know they call him Vizzy Vizzy Vizzy Vizzy X to the V.
BOLD HYPE 1844 EAST WINTER PARK RD SUITE A ORLANDO,FL 32803 407.629.2965
So last yearon August 18, 2009 Covert Skate shop (Orlando,FL) was burglarized, the thieves took everything in the shop besides 20 right foot display shoes from the showroom. For the majority of show owner this would be devastating and maybe even end in a closing of their business. Well not the story for this owner Tommy Mot, they took this bad situation and decided to turn it into something positive. He donated the remaining shoes to his favorite artist to customize and present in a future Art gallery. That time has arrived, RIGHT FOOT FORWARD gallery now showing at BOLD HYPE GALLERY in orlando,fl from February 20th - March 6th. I went the first day but arrived an hour to early so didn't get to interview any of the artist who I'm sure were probably there for the grand opening. Since I goofed off on my timing I will have to make plans to get back and see this gallery in person and so should you, give the shop a call for time.
Also looking for some EXCLUSIVES: Supras, Dunks, Blazers, Skate decks, etc get over to COVERT SKATE SHOP they have what you want. 2428 East Robinson Street Orlando, FL 32803-5822 - (407) 228-0804 Tommy is a pretty cool guy...
Been a sec since I've hit you guys with a shoe pic so I decided to go kids bed time story on you guys today. SBdunksPapa bear my porridge just right Goldilocks...haha
What's good people? How has the community been without me? Well I have been busy like crazy for the last week to say the least. Had to move which is a full time job within itself. I know I told you guys I would be doing a project for my new spot and its half way complete so keep tuning in for the pics. The dressers are finished now I am working on the artwork for the walls, here are a few pics of the dressers after my initial sanding and stripping. They are completely stripped, sanded, and stained now.
I will give you a finished look at the product a lil later, until then just imagine how cool it looks LOL....So I started moving last saturday and I am still pulling things out of boxes I just want to (((scream))). After all this exhausting moving I was even crazy enough to help a friend move his entertainment center this saturday, one entertainment center was like child play to what I had been through this week so it was nothing.
So I have been away from my blog and computers period for the last week right, man when I returned to the blog surf yesterday I saw all the XXL Top 10 Freshman videos thus far and the list looking proper so far it goes: Pill, Wiz Khalifa, Nipsey, Fashawn, J.Cole, Big Sean, Freddie Gibbs.....only time will tell if XV makes the list this year hmmmm we will see. I've actually heard of all these artist besides Fashawn so guess I will do a lil research on buddy and get familiar, last years list did pretty well for the most part still not a fan of Charles "Pinkguy aka smackcentral" Hamilton but hey he does have a couple of cool tracks. We already know I'm leaning towards this guy as the leader of the pack J.Cole "The Warm Up" mixtape was the best thing dropped last year including "So far Gone" yeah I said it J.Cole had the best mixtape of 2009 hands down and you can tell em I said that.
Randomly browsing around my facebook a few months ago I stumbled into this kid, FOSTER college kid from my hometown of MOBILE, AL flowing over some beats like boats over calm water. Impressed with the flow much different from what I'm use to at home or anywhere to be honest, actually talking about something besides guns, drugs, and bullshit. So I decided to check him out week after week as he dropped freestyles in anticipation of his first body of work "Basically I'm a Dreamer". Recently he dropped a video for the tape and if I must say so myself nicccccceeeeeee. Keep it up homie, straight HEAT.
Black History has been recognized annually since 1926, it started as "Negro History Week" then later as Black History Month. It was not until the 20th century that African Americans gained a respectable presence in the history books. We owe the beginning of this celebration to Dr. Carter G. Woodson.
The shoe’s main inspiration is clearly imprinted onto the upper: “The definition of a renaissance individual: one who possesses a multitude of skills, talent and a broad base of knowledge.”
Dr. Carter G. Woodson established the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (now called the Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History) in 1915, and a year later founded the widely respected Journal of Negro History. Woodson chose the second week of February for Negro History Week because it marks the birthdays of two men who greatly influenced the black American population Frederick Douglas and Abraham Lincoln.
I would like to share some touching words performed at the Black History Program earlier this week. This disaster may not have touched you are your family directly but it definitely had an impact on lives around us. My prayers go out to all.
Heal Haiti By Russell M. Drake January 24, 2010
Tremors, quakes, the shattering of Mother Earth The Most devastating disaster I’ve seen since my birth So many women and men laid to rest The insurmountable pain before they took their last breath Loss of Sisters, Mothers, Cousins, Daughters Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, Friends, Fathers That’s children, adults, even some Babies My heartfelt prayers go out to ALL of HAITI
I try to empathize and imagine the pain & suffering you feel But shed tears every time I think of your ordeal For as men we stand tall and think we can’t fall But this natural disaster makes us all seem so small These invincible lives we pretend to have When our lives are as delicate as an eyelash One blow of the wind and a pluck from GOD’s hand Our time can quickly end in this earthly land
Some are counting their losses, praying for understanding & peace Some are counting their blessing that you were spared and can live another week It’s evident in this world we’re really and truly helpless All that we can do is because GOD is here to help us In words, actions, thoughts imparted in woman and man His help comes in many forms; too infinite to understand Like “Are you Listening?” sung by Kirk Franklin and Friends To Wyclef’s Yele Yele text that helped raise millions
To all those with Haitian Blood running through their veins The whole global community is here to help absorb your pain We can’t take it all away but in time your wounds will heal Find strength in the Lord and Always Know GOD IS REAL!!
Well its me Mr. Dissimilar himself, the guy who thinks every one is entitled to their own (O-Pen-Yawn) no matter how right or wrong they may be.~LOL~ I am attracted to nice things: from shoes, hats, coats, to music. I like what I like and can care less if you think its cool. Phuck wit me
